Shorus Manning Minella is a licensed and registered dietitian. Shorus received her B.A. in anthropology at the University of South Carolina and completed her dietetic internship in South Carolina as well. She has over a decade of experience as a registered dietitian.
Previously, she served as dietitian and education coordinator at the University of Kentucky cardiac rehab clinic, where she established an educational program and teaching kitchen to help patients improve their nutrition and overall health. She currently works as a dietitian at a community health clinic in North Carolina. She has written many articles and appeared on local television and media to promote healthy eating and cooking. In 2016, she received the Young Dietitian of the Year Award from the South Carolina Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Shorus is particularly interested in helping patients to adopt practical strategies to improve their overall wellness.
In her free time, she enjoys fitness classes and cheering on University of South Carolina sports teams.

Instead, I emphasize moderation, and I teach practical skills such as healthy cooking and grocery shopping. I have experience with diabetes, weight loss, cardiac nutrition, sports nutrition, pediatric nutrition, and geriatric nutrition."
