Background

Before I became a Dietitian, I wanted to be a Chef. Once I realized I liked eating food more than cooking it, I looked for a new passion. I soon found out that I loved food itself. The taste, the smells, the chemicals, how we grow it, how we use it in our daily lives. The whole process from start to finish interested me. The passion I discovered helps drive me to help other people love it too. With me, you can expect patient-centered goal setting. Using this technique, we will create challenging, yet achievable milestones to help keep you engaged and encouraged during your new lifestyle change.

I studied Nutrition and Dietetics at D'Youville College, now D'Youville University, where I received my B.S and M.S at the same time. This was a coordinated program, so my school also provided my supervised practice hours.

When I am not working, I am traveling. As mentioned before, I love food which includes all different kinds from all different ethnicities. I hope to try as many dishes as possible in as many different countries as possible.

Approach

"As a friend, I usually won't tell you to avoid anything unless detrimental to your health. I encourage balance. As a Dietitian, I do the same. Patients are afraid I will tell them they cannot eat their favorite foods. I don't believe food should be avoided or feared, merely modified to fit your needs. Based on this principle, we will create goals that align with what you want your future to look like. Ultimately, you lead the discussion and I will help guide you in the right direction."
