Hi, I’m Shelby Rodriguez, MPH, RDN, CSG, FAND, LD (she/her), a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 7 years of experience in clinical nutrition, public health, and community wellness. I hold a Master of Public Health with a focus in Maternal and Child Health, and I’m a Board Certified Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition—one of only a few in Oregon. My approach is rooted in the principles of Health at Every Size® (HAES®), weight inclusivity, and social justice. I believe everyone deserves respectful, individualized care—free from shame or stigma.
I work from a trauma-informed, client-centered lens, creating a safe, affirming space for people of all sizes, identities, and lived experiences, including those in the LGBTQIA+ community. Whether you're navigating chronic conditions, disordered eating, or just trying to feel more at peace with food and your body, I’ll meet you with curiosity, compassion, and non-diet, evidence-based guidance.
Before I became a dietitian, I was a professional ballet dancer—so I deeply understand how complex and emotional our relationships with food, movement, and body image can be. Now, I teach nutrition at the college level, serve on the board of the Oregon Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and continue to advocate for more inclusive, person-centered healthcare systems.
Outside of work, you can find me hiking Pacific Northwest trails, thrifting, restoring mid-century furniture, or enjoying time with my family. If you're looking for a supportive partner in your health journey—someone who listens, validates, and helps you build a sustainable path forward—I’d be honored to work with you.
