Background

Hi there, I'm Sean Lawson, a registered dietitian with almost 4 years of experience working in nutrition and dietetics in the outpatient clinical setting. I earned my undergraduate degree in dietetics with a minor in exercise science from Kansas State University. During my time as undergrad I assisted with the sports nutrition department in athletics for 3 years primarily working with athletes in football and baseball. I completed my dietetic internship through the University of Nebraska with experience in community outreach, the athletic department in sports nutrition and clinically with the Omaha VA.

I became an RD due to my passion for exercise science and nutrition. I originally wanted to follow the path to being a doctor, but through my time working in nutrition I knew being an RD I would be able provide the biggest impact in others health.

Being an RD is an incredibly rewarding profession as I'm able to help others and improve their health in ways that work for them. I enjoy working with others to achieve their weight-loss goals, improve abnormal lab values and improve their health overall.

I understand that not everyone is the same, everyone has different challenges as it relates to food. I will always work to meet a client where they are at to focus on strategies that are realistic and practical nutrition interventions.

I tell everyone food is neither all good or all bad. We also need to enjoy our food. I'm here to support you in making lasting nutrition and lifestyle changes.

"Every client is different and when comes to nutrition there is not a one size fits all model. My goal is to meet you where you're at and assist in making lasting lifestyle changes. I focus on evidence based interventions that are realistic and obtainable to help clients meet their goals. I believe that proper nutrition practices can improve overall quality of life and our health outcomes.
