Rebecca Scothorn, MPH, RDN, LDN
As a Registered Dietitian with a passion for Public Health, I am a dedicated clinician with 4+ years of experience working in WIC and SNAP food access programs.
I have a specialized background in nutrition science and am committed to evidence-based interventions. I encourage meaningful impacts within diverse populations by promoting high quality, affordable food for every person. I am skilled in providing nutrition education in the contemporary food policy landscape.
My clinical experiences have given me the skills needed to provide nutrition support and counseling.
It may seem obvious, but healthy food is at the core of healthy nutrition. Most food comes from farms. I’ve been privileged to learn so much about growing food, cooking food, and - of course - eating food from many farmers and farmers market managers!
There is sometimes an unavoidable gap between the farmer and the consumer. And that’s OK. I support my clients in their journey by first identifying what food really is, then what it means to be healthy, and how that looks different for every person.
