I am a Los Angeles-based dietitian with over 7 years of experience in inpatient and outpatient clinical care, education, and renal care.
My journey with nutrition started when I was 10 years old, when my father was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. It was a huge adjustment for our family , but we learned to all adopt a healthier lifestyle after it. I especially took an interest in packing meals for him and meticulously looking at all the food labels to make sure it was safe for him. Ever since then, I have always had an interest in science, nutrition, medicine, and the human body.
I studied Molecular and Environmental Biology at UC Berkeley and obtained my Master's in Human Nutrition at Johns Hopkins. I completed my RD internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital; Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center; and The National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive, and Kidney Diseases.
My passion lies in education and helping individuals with chronic conditions such as diabetes, kidney disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart failure, weight management, gastrointestinal disorders, cancer, etc. I also love helping individuals with general nutrition goals. I believe that with proper nutrition, we can maintain our health and reduce the risk of worsening conditions. During my years of practice, I have primarily worked with adults, but also have some experience with pediatrics. I have worked at AltaMed, Davita, Cedars Sinai, AHMC, Glendale Community College with people from many different backgrounds.
