Hey there! My name is Prin, and I'm very excited to work with you! To start, I hail from Falls Church, Virginia, just outside of our nation’s capital. I earned my BS in Nutritional Sciences from The Pennsylvania State University (aka. Penn State, go Nittany Lions!) in May 2020, while also earning a minor in Psychological Sciences. I then went on to earn my Masters of Professional Studies degree in Nutritional Sciences from Penn State in August 2022. Since kicking off my career as a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) in November 2022, I have worked as a clinical dietitian in long term care/skilled nursing, focusing on the older adult population. I also briefly took on the role of Director of Dining Services at Ascension Living Carroll Manor in Washington, DC. For career-related extracurricular activities, I was previously involved with the DC Metro Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (DCMAND) as Treasurer-Elect and Treasurer, as well as the Penn State Nutrition and Dietetics Alumni Society (NDAS) as Communications Chair.
In terms of expectations, I would like my clients to come with an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a desire for fruitful, candid discussions. Our sessions will be a two-way conversation, and I will listen with compassion and empathy.
In my spare time, I am an avid singer and was involved in choir for 12 consecutive years starting in the 5th grade. I am a baritone by nature and sang bass for 3 years in college with the Penn State Men’s Glee Club, becoming bass section leader in my senior year. Today, I consider myself to be a countertenor (a man who can sing in a similar range as a female alto or mezzo-soprano, utilizing my falsetto range). I love learning how to sing choral a cappella music, a passion that was sparked by my obsession with the British a cappella ensemble, The King’s Singers! In many ways, I consider myself a musician first and a dietitian second! I also enjoy spending time with my wife, cat, and dog, as well as cooking delicious dinners for her every day.
I’m excited to share that I was selected to attend this year’s annual Food & Nutrition Conference and Expo (FNCE) in San Antonio as a part of Fay’s Luminary Provider Program! I was one of 5 dietitians to be selected, and am very honored to attend to help represent Fay. I am grateful for the private practice I have managed to build with Fay so far, and am looking forward to working with you!
I create welcoming, nonjudgmental environments where curiosity is encouraged. All questions are welcome and will be answered in a kind, professional manner. I enjoy delving into the “why” behind the choices and behaviors we have around food (thank you psychology minor!). Be prepared to be challenged in a fun and engaging way, and be willing to learn something new! If there is something I do not know, I will be honest and upfront about it! This will be an environment where we can learn together.
