My name is Norami Ortiz. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with honors from The University of Texas at Austin and completed a coordinated undergraduate program to become a registered dietitian. I have over 30 years of experience as a dietitian and have had the privilege of working in many areas of dietetics. My work experience includes acute care, long term care, rehabilitation care, state regulations and private practice settings. I have experience in nutrition counseling for weight loss, intuitive eating, diabetes education, cardiac health, adult/geriatric nutrition, enteral nutrition, dysphagia and nutrition for clients with intellectual and physical disabilities.
I am married and the mother of 2 adult children. My hobbies include working out, baking, reading, spending time with my family and traveling as much as possible.
I became a dietitian to help empower people to improve and maintain their health through healthy and sustainable lifestyle changes.
I enjoy seeing my clients get excited when meeting their goals and seeing the benefits of nutrition.
