I am a registered and licensed dietitian with over 13 years of experience providing medical nutrition therapy. My academic background includes undergraduate and graduate degrees in nutrition and dietetics, as well as a doctorate in clinical nutrition, which has further deepened my expertise in advancing patient care through evidence-based practice.
I am deeply passionate about helping others improve their health and strongly believe that non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and heart disease can often be prevented through sustainable lifestyle changes rather than restrictive “diet” approaches. I strive to provide practical, long-term strategies that empower individuals to take ownership of their health.
Having grown up in a South Asian household, I bring a strong cultural lens to my practice. I understand how cultural foods, traditions, habits, and environments influence lifestyle choices, and I integrate that awareness into the way I guide patients in overcoming barriers to change. My ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds allows me to deliver nutrition guidance in a way that is both personalized and culturally sensitive.
"In my 12 years of practice as a dietitian the most important concept I have learned is that not one size fits all. I strive to make a partnership with my clients to understand their goals for their health and provide individualized interventions to help facilitate their success. I am a big believer of science and research and I advocate for nutrition information that is science based and not google based, so evidenced based practice is what my clients should expect."
