Hi, I’m Michelle!
I help people reconnect with their bodies and power, break free from restrictive food rules, learn their body’s wisdom, and transform their mindset for lasting well-being.
My journey began in clinical nutrition as a registered dietitian. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and my Master’s degree from NYU. That’s where I built my foundation in nutrition – the science, the macros, the plans. But after a profound awakening, I realized that true healing goes far beyond what we eat. It’s about how we feel, how we think, and how deeply we trust our inner wisdom.
My relationship with food and exercise was once fueled by control and self-rejection. I exercised out of hatred for my body, chasing worth through restriction and extreme weight loss. Though I was praised as a competitive runner, I was truly breaking down but I kept going because I focused on what was on the outside. Diagnosed with the female athlete triad, a broken tibia, and an eating disorder, I kept pushing — terrified to let go of control. It became a cycle of punishment disguised as discipline.
I later turned to weightlifting, convinced I had found the solution. I lost weight, gained muscle, and told myself this was finally “healthy.” But underneath it all, it was still fear in disguise. I couldn’t skip a workout without anxiety. My identity was tied to discipline and needing to always “do” and perform. Not to self-love and simply “being.” I was being fueled by the mind – what did it look like to others, how did I compare to others, but I never considered the way I felt. Yes, I was tired… exhausted but I kept going because I was told “that’s the way to do it,” without even considering that every body is different and what one body needs is not the blueprint for every body. But you know … society tells you “do this, do that” so I was following external messages without tuning internally into my body’s innate power and wisdom. I never trusted my own body and always believed others had the answers.
Eventually, my body forced me to stop. Bedridden and depleted, I could no longer run — physically or mentally. I had to finally slow down and take care of myself. I once was able to lift 30 lbs and run miles on end, but my body forced me to stop. I collapsed. I could not get out of bed, I could not even lift 5 lbs, and talk about running … I could barely walk without breathing heavily. After countless doctor’s visits and everyone telling me everything was “normal”, I knew it was time for me to take this into my own hands.
Through a combination of intuitive eating and shifting subconscious patterns, I began to rebuild my relationship with food, movement, and myself. I fully recovered from my eating disorder, learned to listen to my body’s cues, and, most importantly, began to trust my intuition and feelings over fear and what I was conditioned to believe. This was not a journey that occurred overnight. This is not a “one and done” deal, but it’s a constant evolution and always making the choice to come back to myself and embrace change. Without change, I was stuck in a vicious cycle and repeating the same thing.
Today, I blend clinical expertise with holistic, spiritual tools to help others break free from the same vicious cycles because you don’t have to do it alone. You need to want to make change but it does not need to be done alone. My approach is integrative and heart-centered, drawing from meditation, mindfulness, intuitive and mindful eating, trauma-informed care, nervous system regulation, embodiment practices, parts work (IFS), shadow work, and mindset shifting.
I work with a wide range of clients — including those navigating eating disorders, disordered eating, performance nutrition, digestive issues, weight concerns, and general nutrition. I help clients from compassion and truly seeing who they are and their story. I get down to the root cause because I do not believe in only treating the symptoms (I’ve been there and it does not work).
I believe and know there is a root cause to everything. The body knows and gives us signs. When we stop and don’t listen to these signs/feelings from our body, our body goes into dis-ease. The dis-ease will continue until you decide to change. Believe me, this is more than nutrition. It’s a return to wholeness — healing the mind, body, and soul.
Outside of my work, I am a world traveler, facing my fears with courage, and embracing life as an ever-unfolding adventure. You'll find me hiking new trails, engaging with the flows of nature, singing and speaking from my heart, learning new skills, cooking, engulfing myself into new cultures, and connecting with many people and friends. I believe in living fully, creating freely, and letting the world be my teacher.
