My academic background encompasses a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Tennessee Technological University and a Master’s degree in Nutrition Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I completed my dietetic internship at UT and have been a registered dietitian for nineteen years. Throughout my career, I have gained experience in various areas of practice as a registered dietitian, including lecturing on nutrition science at the collegiate level, providing medical nutrition therapy in hospital, nursing home, and dialysis clinic settings, and consistently offering holistic and wellness counseling to patients and clients to improve their nutritional health and overall well-being.
When working with clients, I adhere to a high standard of responsibility, ensuring that I deliver comprehensive support, foundational knowledge, expertise, and motivation to help them achieve and surpass their goals. My dedication to enhancing others’ nutritional health through counseling, coaching, and education grounded in evidence-based practice has been the driving force throughout my professional journey.
On a personal note, I am a father of six children, which keeps my wife and me actively engaged outside of work. Our family enjoys traveling together, particularly hiking in the mountains or spending time at the beach. My wife, Alanna, is a nurse who shares my commitment to healthcare and supporting health and wellness.
The ongoing opportunity to assist individuals in reaching their wellness objectives and advancing their nutritional understanding and health continues to be deeply rewarding and fulfilling for me.
"When collaborating with clients to enhance their health, I consistently acknowledge each individual’s unique strengths, preferences, and requirements. Every client represents an opportunity to develop a constructive partnership and provide guidance toward a healthier, more active lifestyle through evidence-based nutrition and wellness strategies. I am privileged to support clients in realizing their goals and reaching their full potential."
