Background

I’m a registered dietitian with 24 years of experience helping people improve their health through nutrition. Since 2021, I’ve been in private practice, where I help clients with weight loss (with and without GLP-1 medications), mitochondrial dysfunction, hypervitaminosis A (sometimes mislabeled as vitamin A toxicity), and sulfur metabolism issues. My earlier career included writing IV nutrition support orders and managing enteral feedings in hospitals, public speaking, teaching undergraduate nutrition, working with adults and children with intellectual disability, autism, and genetic syndromes.

Beyond my professional life, I’m a wife of 26 years, mom to three teenagers, and caregiver to chickens, a German Shepherd-Anatolian mix, and a Yorkie-Dachshund. (Yes—I’m literally a "chicken tender" that isn't fried, and I even make homemade food for my dogs!) My youngest daughter has a rare genetic syndrome called MBD5 deletion, which causes autism, but also multiple medical problems that require continuous critical thinking about nutrition and advocacy to ensure she remains healthy. Walking this journey with her has made me an out-of-the-box thinker who questions everything, digs deep for root causes, and never gives up on finding ways to improve quality of life through nutrition.

At home, I love growing fresh fruits and vegetables in my garden and finding creative ways to adapt recipes for my child with multiple food allergies. Caring for my daughter with special needs, including managing her central and obstructive sleep apnea through supportive nutrition, has given me a unique understanding of the real-world challenges families face every day.

All of these experiences—professional and personal—have shaped me into the dietitian I am today: compassionate, persistent, and committed to meeting people where they are. Whether you’re managing complex health needs or just looking for support in building better habits, my goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered in your health journey.
