Mariah has extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings and has worked with a broad spectrum of patient populations allowing her to effectively support individuals with different nutritional needs and conditions. For the past three years she has worked at Northwestern Medicine in downtown Chicago. She has played a crucial role in providing nutrition care to patients in areas such as general medicine, diabetes, heart health, and critical care. More recently, Mariah has specialized in working with the lung transplant population, where she focuses on helping patients achieve their weight goals in a timely manner for transplant candidacy. Prior to her work at Northwestern, Mariah aided patients in optimizing nutrition outcomes during and after cancer therapies. Mariah's educational foundation is rooted in her undergraduate degree in Dietetics from Iowa State University. She further advanced her knowledge and skills by obtaining a Master's degree in Clinical Nutrition and completing a rigorous internship at Rush University Medical Center. This combination of academic and practical training has provided her with a solid foundation to deliver evidence-based nutrition care. With her warm and empathetic approach, Mariah establishes strong connections with her clients.
