I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 15 years of experience in clinical nutrition and individualized nutrition care. My work at an acute care hospital, an adult day program for individuals with developmental disabilities, various academic settings and a private practice has greatly enabled me to understand health conditions and their impact on nutritional status. I have grown to appreciate that every health condition demands a unique nutritional approach, which needs to be further tailored to the individual's unique needs, preferences and circumstances. I hold a master’s degree in Human Nutrition. I enjoy teaching and training and have published nutrition education materials. Although well-rounded in all areas of nutrition, my passion lies in obesity and weight management, as well as diabetes care. I was recently honored to be nominated for the Dignity Health Excellence in Service Award.
"I start my work as an RD by getting to know my clients very well. I invite my clients to tell me all about their eating habits, routines, preferences, culture, and most importantly, their nutrition goals. They can fill out food logs or send me snapshots of their fitness app logs. I use all the information to evaluate their nutrition status and devise an intervention plan which is best suited to their needs."
