Background

During each session, I enjoy working closely with my patients, listening deeply to their needs, and working together to develop a comprehensive nutrition care plan that addresses the root of the problem, meets them where they are, and is personalized to their needs and goals.

As an Integrative Clinical Nutritionist, I believe in the power of food as medicine and root-cause methodology to support my patients optimal health, to prevent and manage chronic diseases, and to promote wellness.

My approach utilizes an expanded toolkit of evidence-based Integrative and Functional Nutrition practices and can be employed to support a wide range of conditions. I have advanced training in Integrative and Functional Nutrition, gut health, weight loss/metabolic health and inflammatory conditions.

I have been serving patients, families and communities in the field of dietetics for 6 years. I hold dual degrees in Exercise Sport Science (UNC-Chapel Hill) and Nutrition (Appalachian State University) and a Masters in Nutrition (Appalachian State University). I have a unique and diversified background, and hold advanced practice certificates in Sustainable Agriculture, Natural Chef Culinary Arts, Integrative Health Coaching among others. I have advanced nutrition training in Integrative and Functional Nutrition, gut health, weight loss/metabolic health and inflammatory conditions.

Outside of my work with patients, I spend as much time outdoors as possible and love going on adventures! My family and I are avid gardeners with dreams of having a homestead someday. Most weekends, you can find me at the yoga studio or experimenting in the kitchen with new foods and recipes. I am passionate about volunteering and supporting local food-system initiatives.

My passion for nutrition and helping people has helped me grow my dream practice where I get to serve my patients, give back to local community food programs, and bring the beauty of food as medicine to life through experiential nutrition education initiatives in my test kitchen and growing garden efforts.
