Background
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and a Master of Science in Medical Biology Nutrition, graduating with honors with my thesis work in Diabetes. This then led to my completion requirements for board certification in diabetes care and education.
I have practiced patient centered Medical Nutrition Therapy for 25 years in the clinical and private settings both remote and face to face. I specialize in nutrition counseling for Diabetes, Cardiovascular Health, and Obesity. I currently hold a position with Long Island Laparoscopic Doctors as a Bariatric Dietitian evaluating and counseling patients for weight loss surgery.
In all of my work settings I incorporate the spirit of Motivational Interviewing as a means for nutrition and behavior changes.
