Background

I’m Jessica Peterson, MS, RDN — a registered dietitian with a background in digital marketing turned nutrition professional. My journey into dietetics started like many of my clients’—scrolling through social media, trying to make sense of endless (and often conflicting) nutrition advice. I quickly recognized how marketing gimmicks influence our perceptions of health, and I wanted to cut through the noise. That curiosity led me back to school to pursue a degree in nutrition and become a dietitian.

My approach is rooted in functional nutrition — seeing food as one piece of the larger health puzzle. I believe that nutrition is deeply personal and that food is so much more than calories; it’s connection, enjoyment, and fuel for both body and mind. With an emphasis on evidence-based recommendations, I help clients simplify nutrition, navigate food trends, and discover how to make healthy eating easy, sustainable, and enjoyable.

When you work with me, you can expect a supportive, judgment-free space where your goals and preferences guide the plan. I value building strong relationships and tailoring strategies that fit busy lifestyles, whether you’re a student, parent, professional, or athlete. Together, we’ll focus on practical steps that feel achievable — from building balanced meals to understanding food labels to rethinking your relationship with food.

Outside of my work as a dietitian, I love cooking simple meals, experimenting with new recipes, and staying active outdoors. My goal is to help you feel confident and empowered in your food choices so that nutrition feels less confusing and more like second nature.
