Emma Johnson has been a licensed and registered dietitian nutritionist since 2016, but she's had a passion for food, astonishing results, and making connections since kindergarten. If you ask her, she'll tell you it all started with a crayon, a juice box, and animal crackers.
She was raised in Durham, North Carolina, before receiving a dual bachelor's degree in Nutritional Science and Biology from Tuskegee University. Her passion for education and evidence-based results led her to complete a master's degree from Tuskegee University and a second degree in Family Consumer Science from North Carolina Central University. Understanding one size does not fit all, Emma enjoys working with individuals 1:1 to ensure they receive specialized and personal treatment.
In 2012, Emma began her outpatient clinical experience working with clients addressing weight management and chronic disease prevention. It was within the clinical setting, Emma found her passion for rekindling lasting connections. As a mom of two, she has experienced many of her clients' concerns, frustrations, and disappointments concerning weight management and weight loss. She has overcome barriers and uses experience and evidence-based research to transform and restore her clients' wellbeing alongside them.
In order to best serve her clients Emma Johnson Nutritionist, LLC was conceived to help women manage their weight, restore confidence in wholesome eating, and instill healthy lifestyle behavior changes sustainable for long-term maintenance.
One of Emma's greatest beliefs is trusting the process and understanding where you are now is far from where you've been. When not seeing clients, she can be found exercising, attempting to turn cauliflower into chocolate, trying new restaurants, and snuggling with the world's cutest babies–Margaux and Marleigh.
