Cynthia Pierce, RD

Hello! I am a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RDN) based on Long Island, NY. In my 23 years in the field, I have worked as a clinical dietitian in the hospital, outpatient clinic, home care, hospice, and dialysis settings. In addition, I spent 10 years working as a full-time faculty member, clinical coordinator, and program director at two universities, preparing nutrition/dietetic students and interns for their professional careers.                

     I entered this field as a change of careers related to my own life-long battle with weight management, compulsive eating, and yo-yo dieting. While I follow a fundamental practice of using evidence-based research, I believe as strongly in an individualized, client-centered approach with nutrition education and counseling--there is no “one size fits all plan” for everyone. 

     Regardless of the practice setting, education and counseling has always been my passion. I look forward to guiding and facilitating you in your own personal journey of identifying goals, overcoming barriers, and achieving your optimal overall health and wellness, one small step at a time.
