I am a Registered Dietitian based in Denver, Colorado. I graduated with my Master's degree from Boston University in 2020, and my first job was at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. I grew up traveling to the mountains throughout the region, so when the opportunity arose to move to Colorado I jumped at the chance! When I'm not working I am usually somewhere in the mountains. I love to hike, backpack, and in the winter I'm a weekend warrior to the ski resort or to a new backcountry spot. While I love a life of adventure, I also have a great appreciation for the more quiet weekends - discovering new coffee shops, restaurants, and vendors at the farmers markets. I have been working on curating a life of balance - balance in both restorative care and adventure.
I decided to become an RD because I LOVE food - the social, cultural, medicinal and fun aspects of it are so intertwined. So nutrition care should be approached in a way that captures all of that, right? In becoming a dietitian, I want to help others learn more about nutrition and it's role in longevity and wellness. In my experiences, I have seen how powerful a good diet AND a good relationship to food compliment overall health goals for individuals.
You can expect the following when working with me: an open mind, direct communication and collaboration, a support system to lean on in making strides towards your health goals, and a trusted and experienced professional who prioritizes your individual needs each time we meet.
I am most passionate about working with clients who are in their cancer journey - whether it's a new diagnosis or you're years into survivorship. I want to be the support that can fill the gap in nutrition care, cut through all the mess that is on "Dr. Google" as my colleagues and I call it, and the provider who can make nutrition feel much simpler when life's already presented you with so many challenges. Nutrition doesn't have to be scary or overwhelming with the right support, and I am here to be part of your team to help with that piece of the puzzle. While Oncology is my passion, I also enjoy working with the everyday athletes (yes, that includes you who maybe exercises 1-2x a week, or just goes on weekend adventures and feels like they "bonk" when taking on longer hikes/efforts).
I enjoy working with all people and value all the lessons I've learned from both my education as well as all of the patients I've worked with. I'm looking forward to working with you, and seeing what we can learn from each other.
"I take a whole foods and whole person approach to nutrition. I believe in everything in moderation, and prioritize what we can add rather than restrict in your routine. My ideal client is someone who is interested in building a solid foundation with emphasis on flexibility to enjoy your life to the fullest. The road to wellness is often bumpy with lots of twists and turns. I'm here to help you navigate your own path while reducing rigidity and having a little fun along the way."
