I received my bachelors and masters in nutrition from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. During both my undergraduate and graduate studies I worked as a lab assistant and teaching assistant to improve my understanding of nutrition science and educational models.
I attended Meredith College for my Dietetic Internship, completing the program in 2020.
With over 20 years of food service experience including fine-dining catering and dietary management of a long-term care facility, I've learned how important and dynamic food choice is. I have a passion for all aspects of the food system and love to help others with increasing their knowledge and understanding to empower better food choices.
"As a dietitian committed to empowering individuals on their journey to optimal health, my counseling philosophy is consistent with a holistic approach. Recognizing that nutrition is not just about the food on the plate, but a dynamic interplay between mind, body, and environment, I advocate for a comprehensive strategy to foster better habits. In this counseling philosophy, I emphasize personalized care, education, and partnership between the client and myself to cultivate lasting improvements."
