My name is Brandi Givens, and I’m a registered dietitian and personal trainer. I am excited to help you up to a healthier lifestyle by using food and fun as medicine!
As a fifth-generation California farm kid, I grew up appreciating the benefits of fresh food. I was truly inspired to become a registered dietitian when, as a young Navy wife, my first child was born 10-weeks premature. My little guy and I received life-impacting guidance at the hospital NICU, and later through the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.
I started as an RD in 2010 with WIC, counseling hundreds of moms in Washington State as a dietitian and lactation consultant. My career later pivoted to writing health and nutrition articles for various websites and magazines, which greatly broadened my dietetic knowledge in different populations. In recent years I’ve focused on nutrition for healthy aging and fitness, and the growing GLP-1 community. In 2024 I earned an ACSM personal trainer certification.
My husband and I are now snow-birding empty-nesters, and spend most of our spare time playing the addictive sport of pickleball in Arizona and Washington State. I dabble a few hours each week in the arts of pottery, digital drawing, and fiction writing.
