Background

I am a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist and Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) with many years of counseling experience. I have a PhD in Nutrition Sciences, a Master's degree in Health Promotion, and a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics. I specialize in working with clients who are looking to increase performance in and out of the gym, athletes, weight change, and anyone who is looking to improve their overall health and nutrition. Personally, I have Type 1 Diabetes, won collegiate nationals in cheerleading, and currently compete as a competitive crossfitter. I use my knowledge to help me accomplish my health and fitness goals day to day, and I aspire to help others do the same. I enjoy a little bit of everything but my three favorite hobbies are reading and working out. You will also catch me with a book or multiple, my favorite genre is science fiction. I enjoy a variety of fitness areas competing in crossfit and hybrid fitness competition. But you can also find me hiking or going for an outdoor swim, pretty much anything active. Outside of these I love to travel and just walk around new cities seeing what I discover. Finally catch me hanging out with my cat Josephine at the end of the day, she has been described by my friends as "one cool cat".

Approach

"I believe that it is important to meet people where they are at. My first question is always “What brings you to me and what do you hope to do?”. Every person is different, making nutrition a puzzle. I love to help work with others to best solve this puzzle and accomplish our goals. I have first hand experience in how important nutrition is for different diseases as I am a type 1 diabetic. I bring compassion, energy, and enthusiasm to all my counseling."
