Background

I've been working as a registered dietitian since 2011 in a variety of health care settings from hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient clinics including a baratric/weight loss surgery center, and primary care practices. I have also pursued a certificate in weight management training as well as becoming a certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES). Regardless of the setting, I have always searched for better ways to educate and meet the needs of the people I work with. What I've discovered is that most of us recieve nutrition information from various sources. We are left wondering if the information is 'reliable' and whether it aligns with our personal goals and health beliefs. Furthermore, there's the daunting task of how do we put our nutrition knowledge into our everyday lives. That's where I come in! What if we could simplify this process? What if we could take our knowledge, and create goals with strategies that we can feel confident about achieving? What if you were able to find excitement and positivity in your journey towards your goals? That's what you can expect from your sessions with me. A dietitian who's main goal is to help you reach your goals, while creating a healthy, and positive relationship with all the foods you love. Given my strong clinical background, some of my focus areas include weight management (especially women through all life cycles),

cardiovascular disease, prediabetes, diabetes, and IBS. I also have a special interest in sports nutrition.

After college, I struggled with figuring out how to transition from being a student athlete living off dining hall french fries and late night pizza, to a now wife and dog mom of 2, who is responsible for meal planning and cooking, while trying to balance my career, home

and social life, and oh yea, still finding time for my own well-being. I love to fill my free time with outdoor activities such as running, mountain biking, and hiking, but you can also catch me on the couch reading a book, snuggling with my pups, or catching up on whatever the latest show my hubby and I are watching.
