Asante is a Board-Certified Registered Dietitian. She completed her clinical internship and masters degree at Rush University Medical Center after graduating from Case Western Reserve University. Asante is an expert in counseling and educating patients who need medical nutrition therapy in either an inpatient or outpatient setting. In sessions with Asante she will empower her patients and instill confidence in his or herself to achieve desired goals. Although her research and dissertation focused on weight loss after bariatric surgery; Asante has great experience among clients with diabetes, cardiovascular, and food sensitivities and allergies. Asante enjoys working with clients that are eager to learn and improve their lives. She also loves to help clients sift through all the nutrition information out there and be a personal diet myth buster. Asante is an avid gardener and plant enthusiast. From peppers in her garden she makes her own hot sauce to gift to family and friends. Food is a large part of Asante's Jamaican culture and finds it to be a great way to connect with others, she became a dietitian to help people improve their relationship with food.
