When I was 14, my best friend was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. I watched as she and her single mom learned how to live and manage this relentless disease. It shaped my future and I never looked back. I graduated with honors from Rutgers University with a BS in Nutrition. After graduating, I completed a 1 year dietetic internship at NY Presbyterian Hospital. Shortly after graduating, I became an RD at an endocrinology office. I then became a certified diabetes educator and have been doing this now for close to 20 years! I absolutely love working with people that live with diabetes. I was also diagnosed with celiac disease when I was 29 and have also made a career of working with others diagnosed with celiac as well.
"I truly believe that nutrition is one of the most powerful medicines there is to combat chronic disease. I treat every individual as just that, an individual. I recognize that there is not a one sized fits all guide to nutrition. I take time to listen to my clients and tailor recommendations to each individual."
