Hi, I’m Vanessa Lord (she/her), a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (MS, RD) with specialized training in PCOS, perimenopause, digestive health, eating disorders, and body image. My approach to nutrition counseling is to create compassionate space where people can reconnect with their bodies, find relief from frustrating symptoms, and rebuild a joyful relationship with food.
I’ve lived with PCOS most of my adult life, and I know firsthand how confusing and overwhelming it can feel to live with chronic hormone issues — especially when so much of the conventional advice centers around restriction. My approach is different. I focus on nourishment that supports your hormones, your digestion, and your mental health — without dieting or shame.
In our work together, you can expect evidence-based guidance, validation, and lots of collaboration. I’ll listen deeply to your story and help you create a self-care plan that’s realistic, flexible, and aligned with your life. Whether you’re navigating mood swings, gut issues, fatigue, cravings, emotional eating, or just feeling stuck — we’ll work together to uncover the root causes and build sustainable habits that actually feel good.
I truly love food — cooking it, sharing it, and helping people rediscover how good it can feel to eat without fear. Outside of work, you’ll find me hiking the redwoods with my partner, going to see live music, cuddling with my cats, experimenting in the kitchen, and hosting dinner parties.
If you're ready to stop fighting your body and start listening to it, I’d be honored to support you.
"Food isn’t the enemy — it’s one of life’s greatest joys. I love food: cooking it, sharing it, talking about it, and helping people rediscover that food can feel good again. Whether you're navigating intense cravings, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, gut issues, or emotional eating, we’ll build a plan that supports your body — without giving up the foods you love. If you’re ready to ditch the diet noise and rebuild trust with your body and with food, I’d love to work with you."
