I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Nicholls State University in southern Louisiana, and after completing my degree, I returned to Arizona to finish my dietetic internship through the Utah State Distance Dietetic Internship.
My training at the Mayo Clinic and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in oncology nutrition has shaped my approach as a dietitian. I specialize in working closely with patients facing solid tumors and blood cancers. Having dealt with a chronic illness myself, I understand the challenges of a changing body, and I love helping my clients navigate these experiences. I’m passionate about educating them on food safety and sharing tips to support them during cancer treatments, helping them maintain their weight throughout treatment and recovery. I also enjoy helping others who want to reduce their risk of chronic diseases like cancer.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my border collie, Lola, working on ceramics, and traveling—even if it’s just for a day trip!
"My approach blends evidence-based nutrition with personalized care. I focus on understanding each clientβs unique needs and treatment plans, helping them navigate challenges like taste changes and appetite loss. I also emphasize chronic disease risk reduction, promoting mindful eating and incorporating culturally relevant foods. This holistic approach empowers clients to build a positive relationship with food, enhancing their overall well-being during a challenging time."
