Through evidence-based medical nutrition therapy and behavioral counseling, I provide person-centered nutrition coaching and care.
My most recent professional experience has been in Tactical Performance Nutrition, serving as an Active Duty Army Dietitian with the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, NY, as part of the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program. In this role, I supported individuals in high-demand environments through evidence-based nutrition strategies to enhance performance, recovery, and long-term health.
Prior to this, I owned and operated a private practice, Nutrition as Compass, where I worked one-on-one with a diverse range of clients using an integrative and functional nutrition approach. My work focused on optimizing nutrition and health while fostering a balanced, sustainable relationship with food, body, and movement to enhance overall quality of life for clients and their loved ones.
I have also worked in outpatient community settings, providing Medical Nutrition Therapy, nutrition counseling, and coaching for individuals managing chronic health conditions. Across all settings, my approach is compassionate, individualized, and grounded in evidence-based care.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from San Diego State University and completed my dietetic internship with Garden to Table Nutrition in Bothell, Washington with an emphasis in food systems and sustainability. Shortly after, I became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and have since built a career I truly love.
In my practice, I focus on integrative-functional nutrition combined with a culinary nutrition approach, promoting the idea that all foods can fit into a healthy diet and that healthy eating is both delicious, simple, and affordable. I curate dietary and lifestyle guidance based on client food-system access to best facilitate self-efficacy and client outcomes. I am passionate about the principles of intuitive eating, mindful eating, Health at Every Size, food access and security.
