Rachael has master's degrees in Public Health Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and has 15+ experience as a dietitian, a personal fitness trainer, and exercise physiologist. She has worked as a dietitian in various settings including hospital, outpatient health care, wellness/fitness industry, and as a consultant. After 10 years in these various venues, Rachael branched out and began her private practice Personal Health Management LLC in 2022 with an overall mission of clients taking charge of their health one meal and workout at a time. Her private practice counseling and coaching approach blends traditional nutrition education and science information with psychological counseling and coaching techniques to help clients meet their goals in their own way and make sustainable behavior changes over time. Rachael prioritizes direct yet compassionate communication and finds value in building a safe space for clients to share openly about challenges and also successes in their lives. Clients can expect a personalized plan and approach as well as goals that will be checked in on at every session; Rachael takes a solutions focused approach to help clients get to where they want to be and to growth through setbacks and inevitable life challenges. Outside of work, Rachael is married to husband Erik and has 2 daughters and 4 cats. She is an active member at her church in children's ministry (bring on the babies!) and enjoys baking, teaching fitness classes, attending Zumba classes, singing, dancing, reading fantasy books, playing arcade games, going on walks, listening to educational and motivational podcasts (Mel Robbins and similar), and taking trips to Disney World. Rachael is also passionate about youth mental health and is an advocate for autism acceptance and for supporting other parents of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities like autism, ADHD, and more.
