I’m originally from New Jersey, and an Alumnus of Rutgers University and Montclair State University. In addition to Women’s Nutrition, I am an experienced Long-Term Care Dietitian, working with the Geriatric population, and OT & PT surgical aftercare patients.
I have been a yoga practitioner for almost 20 years, and in 2017 I became a Yoga Instructor, teaching Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Mindfulness. In addition to nutrition counseling, I offer private yoga sessions.
I am a second career Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with prior work experience in government, politics, advocacy and nonprofit management. This included working as a Congressional Aide to a member of Congress, as well as sustainability education, public engagement, policy development, and government relations. As a young child I became an environmentalist due to watching TV shows like Captain Planet, and attending summer camp.
I continue to provide interdisciplinary services as a consultant.
In my free time I enjoy writing, cooking, staying active, camping, and self pampering (ie: massage, baths, aroma therapy and energy healing).
"I approach Nutrition Counseling from a holistic perspective, and work with clients to understand food as medicine. Besides evaluating conventional lab work, I look at clients’ micronutrient levels and macronutrient intakes, to help inform and personalize my nutritional recommendations. I have expertise in meal planning, as well as vegetarian diets. I especially enjoy working with people to encourage them to find balance in their daily lives."
