Background

Hello! I am Naz, a Registered Dietitian with a PhD in Nutrition and over a decade of experience in research, teaching, and patient care. My approach is deeply rooted in understanding the why behind symptoms. In our sessions, you can expect personalized guidance that gets to the root cause rather than simply managing surface-level concerns. Whether you are navigating digestive issues, metabolic health, or overall wellness, I will work with you to build a practical, sustainable plan that aligns with your body and lifestyle.

I bring a functional and integrative lens to nutrition, with a focus on insulin resistance, metabolic health, body composition, and gut health. I also support clients on GLP-1 medications by developing personalized nutrition plans that complement their treatment. If you are looking for a compassionate, science-based partner to help you feel your best, we may be a great fit!

I earned my PhD from ETH Zurich and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Loma Linda University School of Public Health, where I had the opportunity to live in one of the Blue Zones and explore the depth and culture of vegetarian diets. I have led USDA-funded Food as Medicine initiatives, completed the Institute for Functional Medicine’s AFMCP, and recently trained at the UltraWellness Center under Dr. Mark Hyman’s team. I also completed the Lifestyle Medicine & Food as Medicine Essentials through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM).

These trainings have broadened my perspective on health and healing, and enable me to meet people where they are—offering care that aligns with their values, goals, and unique needs.

Outside of work, I am a senior black belt in kung fu and tai chi, and a dedicated yoga practitioner with advanced teacher training in Yoga Sculpt. I enjoy spending time in nature, cooking, baking, exploring farmers markets, and diving into the latest nutrition science.

I became a dietitian because I believe food is more than fuel—it is information, connection, and healing. I am here to help you feel empowered, supported, and equipped on your journey toward better health. I look forward to walking that path with you.
