Nancy has been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration for ~20 years. She completed her Master’s degree in nutrition at Andrews University. Also, she holds a certification in holistic nutrition and is a Functional Microbiome Educator. Gut health is her passion & it has been found to play a huge role in many health conditions, so this will have a focus during sessions.
Nancy has worked with various health conditions: including GI disorders, diabetes, kidney disease, heart health issues and so much more. She believes in helping her clients to make small sustainable lifestyle changes that are realistic for each individual. Her desire is to help her clients become successful, making behavior changes slowly. This can help prevent the feeling of being overwhelmed with making drastic changes that typically result in frustration and feelings of deprivation. Nancy feels does not provide meal plans as they can be very intrusive. This may not always be the best solution as it is foreign and commonly unsustainable.
Nancy desires to analyze the way you are already eating to help you make adjustments for diet optimization. She will also inquire about & make suggestions regarding your activity, sleep habits, stress level & lifestyle in general in order to help you meet your health goals.
When Nancy is not working, she enjoys biking, hiking, and weight lifting. She also likes playing interactive games, listening to informative podcasts, hanging out with her husband and playing with her dog Coco.
