With over four decades as a Registered Dietitian and two decades as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, I've dedicated my career to empowering individuals with chronic conditions. My professional focus shifted after my son was diagnosed with diabetes at age 10, transforming my work into a deeply personal mission to help others navigate their journey.
In addition to my extensive clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, I am a Certified Insulin Pump Trainer and have had the pleasure of mentoring future dietitians as a preceptor. My approach centers on the idea that managing diabetes should be accessible and empowering, not overwhelming. I strive to provide clients with the knowledge and practical strategies they need to feel confident and in control.
Beyond my work, I find joy in cooking, exploring food festivals, and even making my own wine. I also love watching men's and women's soccer and, most of all, spending time with my two grandchildren.
"My approach is built on the belief that diabetes management and good nutrition should never feel like a burden. I love helping clients find practical and sustainable ways to incorporate nutrition and lifestyle changes into their daily lives, all while demystifying the latest information and technology."
