Background

I am a clinical dietitian, nutrition counselor, and full-time foodie content creator. My passion for nutrition began with curiosity—how can something so enjoyable also contribute to chronic diseases? This question led me to explore nutrition therapy, where I found my purpose: helping people build a healthier relationship with food while embracing balance in their lifestyle and well-being. I believe that small changes in routine adjustments create lasting habits that lead to meaningful transformation.

Having grown up in both Eastern and Western cultures, I’ve experienced different perspectives on food, health, and body image. These cultural influences have deepened my understanding of how personal experiences shape our approach to wellness. I recognize the challenges of navigating health in a fast-paced world and strive to make nutrition accessible, realistic, and enjoyable. My approach is rooted in empathy, guiding individuals toward sustainable changes that lead to long-term well-being.

I started my career as a clinical dietitian in a hospital setting, working with patients managing chronic conditions. Over time, I transitioned into counseling, guiding individuals through sustainable weight management, chronic disease management (diabetes, heart health, chronic kidney disease), gut health (IBS, IBD, GERD), PCOS, and mindful eating. Each client’s journey is unique, and I believe that every small step toward better health is worth celebrating. Small, consistent changes lead to lasting habits, and I strive to empower my clients with practical strategies they can incorporate into their daily lives. I also share my expertise on my platform, @dietwithmichelle, offering smart eating ideas, mindful habits, and a balanced approach to healthy living.

Beyond my profession, I’m a bookworm, coffee shop explorer, matcha enthusiast, and pilates lover. I thrive on traveling, trying tasting menus, and embarking on food adventures. Balancing personal passions with health has shaped my philosophy—wellness should be practical, enjoyable, and sustainable. My belief is simple: eat well, live in balance, and embrace food as both nourishment and joy.
