Hi, I’m Michael Horner, a Registered Dietitian with a Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Systems. I began my career in clinical nutrition, working in skilled nursing facilities and hospital settings. Over time, I transitioned into private practice to work more closely with individuals and make a deeper impact through 1-on-1 counseling.
I support a wide range of clients — from those navigating weight management or chronic conditions to athletes seeking a competitive edge. I’ve had the pleasure of working with triathletes, soccer players, runners, weightlifters, powerlifters, and recreational athletes of all kinds, helping them fine-tune their fueling strategies and optimize performance.
My approach is down-to-earth, practical, and rooted in real science. I believe in building sustainable habits that work in the chaos of everyday life — not just on your best days. Whether you’re here to manage a health condition, improve body composition, or level up your training, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Outside of work, I’m a new dad, a long-time weightlifter, and someone who’s deeply interested in the psychology behind food choices — including how our environments, systems, and access to resources impact eating behaviors. I believe effective nutrition coaching considers both the individual and the bigger picture.
"I rely on proven nutrition strategies to help clients create habits they can stick with—even on tough days. My approach is practical, supportive, and tailored to each person’s unique lifestyle. I enjoy working with a wide range of individuals and meeting people where they are."
