Background

Hi, I'm Megan, MS, RD, CDCES—a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist specializing in GLP-1 medications, weight management, and metabolic health.

If you're taking a GLP-1 medication (such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, or compound medications), struggling with weight loss, or looking for long-term results beyond dieting, I'm here to help you build a plan that actually fits your life.

I have extensive experience helping individuals lose weight safely and sustainably, including those using GLP-1 medications. I've coached members through weight losses ranging from 10 to over 200 pounds using a realistic, non-restrictive approach that supports long-term success.

One of my areas of expertise is helping members successfully manage the side effects commonly associated with GLP-1 medications. I have extensive experience helping individuals reduce—and often eliminate—symptoms such as nausea, constipation, diarrhea, hair loss, reflux, bloating, heart burn, food aversions, early fullness, and poor appetite through personalized nutrition strategies, meal timing, hydration, and medication-supportive eating habits. My goal is to help you feel your best so you can stay consistent with treatment and continue making progress toward your health goals.

My approach is compassionate, realistic, and evidence-based. Rather than relying on restrictive diets or eliminating entire food groups, we'll work together to create a personalized plan that supports your goals, lifestyle, and medical needs. Whether your nutrition plan is Mediterranean, lower carbohydrate, plant-forward, or somewhere in between, we'll find an approach you can enjoy and maintain.

While my primary focus is weight management and GLP-1 nutrition, I also specialize in improving metabolic health for individuals with insulin resistance, prediabetes, Type 2 diabetes, and PCOS. Together, we can improve blood sugar regulation, lower A1C, optimize nutrition while taking weight loss medications, and build confidence around food without guilt or overwhelm.

As a CDCES, I combine the science of Medical Nutrition Therapy with a whole-person approach. During our sessions, we'll focus on:

  • Maximizing weight loss while preserving lean muscle mass
  • Optimizing nutrition while using GLP-1 medications
  • Managing and preventing GLP-1 medication side effects
  • Protein intake, hydration, and meal planning
  • Blood sugar regulation and carbohydrate balance
  • Building sustainable eating habits that fit your lifestyle
  • Creating realistic action plans you can maintain long-term

I believe successful weight management isn't about perfection—it's about finding strategies that work in real life. My philosophy is simple: long-term results come from balanced nutrition, adequate nourishment, sustainable habits, and personalized care—not restrictive diets or cutting out entire food groups.

For members using health technology such as continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), activity trackers, or weight scale devices through partners like Beyond Type 1 and Withings, I can also help translate your data into practical nutrition strategies that support your goals.

I look forward to partnering with you to create a personalized plan that helps you feel healthier, more confident, and successful for the long term.
