From a young age, I knew I wanted to help people improve their relationship with food. In grade school, I struggled with this myself and was referred to a Registered Dietitian by my pediatrician. She and I worked together to heal my relationship with food, and through her support, I began to feel confident in my own skin. After our first meeting, I knew I was meant to help others the way she helped me.
When it came time to choose a major in college, I decided to pursue Nutritional Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University to begin my journey toward becoming a Registered Dietitian. While there, I had the opportunity to learn from and work alongside a variety of nutrition professionals—including performance dietitians, research dietitians, and dedicated faculty. These experiences deepened my love for the field of nutrition.
I continued my education at Penn State by entering their Nutritional Sciences graduate program, where I expanded my knowledge and completed my dietetic internship. During this time, I gained hands-on experience in a range of specialties, including cardiac health, bariatrics, oncology, sports nutrition, and pediatrics.
After graduating from the program, I moved from Pennsylvania to southern Maryland, where I began specializing in weight management. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors—whether that’s relaxing at the beach or going for a hike.
