Background

My background as a dietitian stems from my love of being outside. I love to run, ski, and hike and I wanted to learn more about how to be a better athlete, which led me to complete my Bachelors in Exercise Science and Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics. I have worked with athletes of all experience levels, and also have experience as a counselor for pregnancy and postpartum nutrition. Along the way, I have realized that health is so much more than just eating healthy foods. My goal is to help my clients feel confident in themselves, have a healthy relationship with what they eat, and find long-term success, whether that means fueling for a marathon or lowering their blood pressure.

I am passionate about sports nutrition, combating disordered eating, prenatal and postpartum nutrition and helping people improve their overall health. If you choose to work with me, you can expect a few things. First, I will meet you where you are at. Many clients come to me from a place of shame, and chronic dieting, thinking that their will power is the source of all of their problems. We'll look at things from a holistic perspective and make sustainable changes that help you feel empowered by the decisions you make for your health. Second, while many people expect their dietitian to force them to cut out foods, we'll focus on where your favorite foods fit into your lifestyle and how to create balance between foods you love and meeting your goals. Sound good? I hope we get to work together!

Approach

"I'm Maddie! If you find yourself wondering whether eating healthy and enjoying food can coexist, I hear you. My passion as a dietitian stems from being a collegiate runner who spent years finding the balance of eating for health and success and feeling like food had to be boring and isolating. I hope to help others recognize that food can fuel your body and keep you doing what you love, while also being delicious, a source of joy and bringing you together with others. "
