My formal training is rooted in a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from Washington State University. I enjoyed the program so much I also went on to complete my Master's in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology there. I am a board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietitian and currently working to complete my Integrative and Functional Nutrition certification with the goal to finish in the next year. My nutrition approach is heavily married to the synergy of regular movement and a food first mentality.
I have spent 10 years as a dietitian working with clients across the spectrum largely in the outpatient and community setting. I have the unique experience of working with eating disorders which has largely influenced my lens on how I approach the relationship with food for all of my clients.
Most recently I have 5 years serving as an active duty dietitian for the US Air Force working with our C-130 pilots and Security Forces in Germany and Special Warfare Training candidates in Texas.
In my free time you will find me on a mountain somewhere with my snowboard or hiking boots, in downward dog, or in my natural habitat experimenting in the kitchen.
"My approach as a practitioner is strongly rooted in each individual's unique relationship with food and how we can work together to create synergy of goals and lifestyle. I ask a lot of questions to my clients and focus heavily on nutrition as a skill not merely a knowledge gap. My life is grounded in movement, whole foods, and the outdoors and I hope to help my clients find integration of each into their own lives."
