Background

My goal for you as a client is to walk away from a session with me feeling heard, understood and confident that I can and will be able to help you. I take a holistic approach with my counseling as there are many facets of a person’s life that affect how they will best be able to navigate making lifestyle changes.

I have over 24 years of experience counseling people from all walks of life, cultures and ages. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Nutrition from Boston University. I completed my dietetic internship at Boston Medical Center following my graduation from BU.

I am a mom of three intelligent, unique girls which is something I am very proud of. I have been active all of my life and have run six marathons. Most recently I had to have spinal surgery which does not allow me to run anymore. I am regularly trying to challenge myself with other forms of physical activity in order to stay strong and healthy. My passion is helping others to do the same. Supporting people who have decided to make lifestyle changes in order to improve their health is my passion. This is why I do what I do. I am a true believer that every small step in a positive direction is a win, no matter how small and it important to celebrate these wins and allow them to be the fuel that keeps you moving toward your health goals.

Approach

"I believe the most important part of being an effective counselor (dietitian/health coach) is establishing a solid relationship with my patients/clients. It is not about me and what I can teach you. It is much more about how I can best support you in identifying your own strengths and weaknesses which will empower you to break through the barriers that have made change difficult in the past. We will work as a team to overcome obstacles and capitalize on your strengths."

Jane completely changed how I think about food. She’s patient, knowledgeable, and explains things in a way that actually makes sense.
