Clients can expect “a-ha” moments during our sessions. They can expect to leave with actionable “to-do’s” that will serve as a stepping stone to achieving their long term goals. They can expect to leave our sessions with their heads less scrambled and with more clarity than before. I focus on eating disorders, disordered eating, sports nutrition, and weight management. I have been working in the nutrition field for 10 years and have been a dietitian for about 3 years. In addition to my interest in nutrition, I am passionate about movement and have taught both group classes and private lessons as a certified pilates instructor for the past 9 years. I was inspired to become an RD when I was in need of nutrition counseling during my competitive figure skating days. My RD was warm, empathetic, and gave me much needed clarity. Throughout my different professional experiences, I was exposed to several different nutrition philosophies. I created my private practice out of a desire to hone in on what I feel is an ethical, evidence-based, balanced, and compassionate nutrition philosophy. When I’m not counseling clients, you can find me on the ice, figure skating, which has been a huge part of my life since I was a child. If you a hear a bark during our sessions, that would be my 1year old micro golden-doodle, Finley, begging for my attention.
"I strive to provide a nonjudgemental and comfortable space for my clients. I consider myself to be diet neutral, which means that I am aware that weight loss diets can be harmful for some and helpful for others. I encourage my clients to explore whether or not their current beliefs and practices are promoting or harming their relationship with food. My ideal client is someone who is fed up with conflicting health information and wants to feel less anxiety about their food choices."
