Background

I began my career as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), providing services in hospitals and long-term care facilities. Through these experiences, and my own personal health journey, I realized my passion for helping others achieve better health. This led me to pursue private practice, where my primary goal is to empower my clients to live fuller, healthier lives. Prior to a career path as an RDN, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Masters of Science in Human Nutrition at the University of Southern Mississippi.  I also completed an internship at UMMC for Nutrition and Food service.

I use motivational interviewing techniques to guide clients, and when necessary, I recommend functional testing, like GI Map, to dive deeper into gut health. I also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize lab results and ensure a comprehensive approach to health. In addition, other specialty areas of interest include weight management, PCOS, and IBS/IBD.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about outdoor activities, including boating, walking, and weightlifting. My family and I enjoy watching sports together and spending time with friends, always making time to recharge and stay connected.

Approach

"In my practice, I take a holistic approach to health, utilizing tools such as gut health testing, lab result analysis, and lifestyle management strategies to help clients reach their wellness goals. I’ve found that one of the most important aspects of nutrition counseling is truly listening to my clients—understanding their unique stories and their aspirations. This allows me to tailor interventions that are client-specific and provide the support needed to make lasting change."
