Expectations:
When you meet with me, you can expect a personalized, science-driven approach to nutrition that respects your unique health history, lifestyle, and goals. Each session is designed to help you understand why your body responds the way it does and how to create sustainable changes that improve your energy, confidence, and long-term well-being. My goal is for you to leave each visit feeling informed, empowered, and equipped with practical tools—not restrictive rules—to take charge of your health.
Focus Areas:
My practice focuses on metabolic health, weight management, cardiometabolic risk reduction (including cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood glucose management), digestive wellness, and women’s health through all stages of life. I also specialize in medical nutrition therapy for chronic disease prevention and management. If you’re seeking evidence-based guidance rather than fad diets, and want a collaborative approach built on trust and education, we’re likely a great fit to work together.
Credentials:
I’m a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN, LDN) with over 32 years of experience in both clinical and community nutrition. I hold a Master of Science in Applied Nutrition from Lamar University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I am also credentialed as a School Nutrition Specialist (SNS) and have received numerous professional recognitions for leadership and excellence in nutrition practice.
Personal:
Outside of work, I love cooking wholesome meals inspired by my South Texas roots, practicing Pilates, spending time outdoors with family, and mentoring young professionals in the nutrition field. I believe food connects us—to our health, our heritage, and each other—and I strive to bring that perspective into every client interaction.
Drive:
I became a dietitian because I wanted to bridge the gap between knowing what’s healthy and living it in real life. After decades in hospitals, schools, and consulting, I founded my private practice to offer a more personal, science-based path for individuals ready to reclaim their health. Helping clients find balance—not perfection—is what fuels my passion for nutrition every single day.
"I help people build a healthy relationship with food—without guilt or quick fixes. Together, we create realistic, science-based plans that fit your life, not the other way around. With over 30 years of experience, I bring compassion, encouragement, and a bit of humor to every session so you feel supported, confident, and ready to make lasting change."
