Background

Welcome!  My name is Kimberly Flynn, and I have been a Registered Dietitian for 25 years.  I got my bachelor’s degree at UMass Lowell and went on to get my graduate degree in Food and Nutrition from Framingham State University.   I started my career at WIC, which was such a wonderful experience seeing new mothers gain confidence in feeding their children.  I then took some time off to have my own two lovely children.  While my son was a baby, I started working at The Home for Little Wonders providing nutrition consultation to their youth residents as well as overseeing the Chefs at all of the facilities.  I was so fortunate to experience foods from all over the world and hone my cooking skills at the same time!

In 2020,  I realized I wanted to take my career and skills in a new direction.  I became a Certified Intuited Eating Counselor which changed my whole perspective in not only feeding myself but my family as well.  While I enjoy seeing all people from all walks of life, I discovered a passion in helping children and adults who have Avoidant Restrictive Feeding Intake Disorder or ARFID. I completed training and certification in the treatment of ARFID which also aligns with Intuitive Eating and Response Feeding.

In addition to ARFID I also enjoy helping people improve their relationship with food, break the diet cycle and incorporate Intuitive eating into their everyday lives. I feel that regardless of medical diagnosis elements of Intuitive Eating can be attainable and beneficial to everyone.  Some skills that we may work on are meal planning/preparedness, mindfulness and mind-body connection.
