Background

My name is Katie Presler, and I am a Performance Dietitian. I hold a bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences and a master's degree in Exercise Physiology. With 10 years of experience as a registered dietitian, I’m passionate about helping people fuel their bodies with purpose—and I look forward to many more years of doing just that.

While I specialize in performance nutrition for athletes, my approach is inclusive and adaptable. I work with a wide range of clients, including:

Athletes of all levels (youth to adult, recreational to competitive)

Pregnant and postpartum individuals looking to support both maternal and infant health

Children and adolescents in need of healthy, sustainable nutrition habits

Adults pursuing weight loss, body composition goals, or general lifestyle improvement

My passion for nutrition started early. I was an active child and multi-sport athlete, but I was often under-fueled. I was a good athlete—but I could have been a great one if I had known how to eat in a way that supported my performance and recovery. That experience inspired my mission today: to empower others with the knowledge and tools to thrive—whether that’s in sport, parenthood, or everyday life.

My Basic Nutrition Model: Fuel. Perform. Recover.

This simple, three-part model forms the foundation of how I work with all clients:

Fuel: Building a strong daily foundation of balanced meals to support energy, metabolism, hormones, and long-term health.

Perform: For athletes, this means optimizing timing and intake around training or competition. For others, it may mean feeling your best at work, during pregnancy, or while managing your busy family schedule.

Recover: Prioritizing rest, hydration, sleep, and nutrient timing to promote recovery—whether from workouts, illness, or daily stress.

No matter your background or goals, this model is flexible and personalized to your needs. We can dive into topics like weight loss, weight gain, macronutrient breakdowns, supplementation, intuitive eating, pre/postnatal nutrition, sports fueling, and even family-friendly meal strategies.

My ultimate goal is for you to feel confident navigating nutrition on your own—but I’ll be here to guide, support, and keep you accountable in a way that works for you.

A Bit About Me

I was an all-around athlete in high school—playing soccer, basketball, volleyball, and swimming. These days, I love lifting as much weight as my body can handle! Outside of exercise, I enjoy hiking, traveling (especially trying new cultural foods), training my dogs, and spending time with my husband and kids.
