Background

My goal is to bring the science of nutrition to the public allowing individuals to live a confident and enjoyable life. I use a client-centered approach allowing my individuals to be active in their nutritional care. During the educational journey, the “good“ or “bad“ food labels are removed creating the opportunity to have freedom from impairing food related thoughts. Imagine, the confidence and freedom to enjoy your life, rather than letting your life to be controlled by your diet plan.

My career began with a bachelors of science degree in Nutrition Science and a master of science degree in Exercise Physiology. This education has been the foundation for my 28 years as a dietitian. During these years, I have worked in research, corporate health, and private counseling. Although I have worked with a diversity of populations, my greatest strengths are sports nutrition and nutritional therapy for people struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating and exercise behaviors of all forms.

In addition to enjoying my career, I find great satisfaction in cycling with family and friends and spending time in the outdoors hiking and fly fishing. My greatest pleasure however comes through riding my horses or spending time blending science and art in the kitchen.

My mother, also a registered dietitian, instilled in me a love of cooking. She assured I had a balanced diet and thorough understanding of what I needed to consume for a successful swimming career.

Unfortunately, I watched too many friends and teammates struggle with unhealthy food relationships.

My sports history and education drive my passion to bring the science of nutrition to the public allowing individuals to live confident and enjoyable lives. Let me help you find your personal prosperity through self-awareness of the nutritional needs of your body.
