Hi, I’m Kara, a registered dietitian and health educator with a background in public health and nutrition education. I believe nutrition should be practical, personalized, and flexible - not perfect.
I work with adults who want to improve their relationship with food while also working toward health goals like eating more balanced meals, feeling better in their bodies, seeing positive changes in blood work, and losing weight in a sustainable way. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed by nutrition advice or stuck in all-or-nothing thinking, and are looking for support that actually fits real life.
My approach is compassionate, realistic, and evidence-based. I don’t use strict meal plans or rigid rules. Instead, we focus on small, meaningful changes that build confidence, skills, and consistency over time.
Sessions are collaborative and judgment-free, always tailored to your preferences, lifestyle, and goals. Whether you’re looking to feel more at ease around food or make healthier choices that last, I’ll meet you where you are and support you at a pace that feels manageable.
Originally from Central Illinois, I now call Chicago home. Outside of work, I enjoy reading (contemporary romance is my jam), walking, or searching for a new Tiki bar. I understand that real life is busy and imperfect - and nutrition should work with it, not against it.
