Hi, I’m Julie Roberti. I’m a Registered Dietitian with over 30 years of experience, a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, and a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. My practice is rooted in the Health at Every Size® (HAES) philosophy, which challenges weight-focused approaches and instead looks at the whole person. For clients living with diabetes and other chronic conditions, HAES offers a way to manage health without dieting or focusing on weight. We explore meaningful factors like stress, sleep, movement, blood sugar patterns, and sustainable habits that truly support well-being.
Dieting and weight loss are often presented as the only solutions for chronic conditions, but they can lead to cycles of restriction, shame, and frustration. My goal is to help clients build a healthier, more trusting relationship with food and their bodies while learning strategies that improve health outcomes. Together, we focus on practical, individualized approaches that promote long-term well-being without the pressure to shrink the body.
I also bring personal experience to my work. Like many, I grew up surrounded by messages about dieting and body size. That shaped my own relationship with food and body, but it also gives me deep empathy for the struggles my clients face. I know firsthand how exhausting diet culture can be, and I meet people exactly where they are—with compassion, humor, and honesty. Clients often tell me they feel safe, seen, and understood in our work together.
Outside of work, I live in Florida with my husband and our Maltese, Teddy. I’m an empty nester of three kids—two in college and one recently graduated. I love reading (I’ve probably read over 500 books!), spending time at the beach, and yes, shopping! Like many women my age, I understand the challenge of figuring out how to prioritize yourself after years of raising kids and running a busy household. My passion is connecting with people through vulnerability, humor, and shared experience.
After three decades in this field, I’m inspired every day by my clients’ resilience. Whether it’s managing diabetes without dieting, letting go of guilt around food, or finding peace with their bodies, I love helping people reclaim health and joy—at every size.
"I use an Anti-Diet and Health at Every Size® approach in my work with clients. My focus is on supporting individuals in managing chronic conditions by encouraging sustainable health-promoting behaviors—without tying progress to weight or body size. I help people let go of the guilt and shame tied to food and guide them toward respecting, honoring, and making peace with their bodies. Together, we work on building trust and letting go of the rules imposed by diet culture and society."
