Registered and Licensed Dietitian, Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, and well-being enthusiast who built my career around food starting at a very early age; I enjoyed food but, struggled with my weight and dieting. When I turned 18, I had an epiphany; and decided to stop the dieting madness by switching my emphasis from food to exercise and well-being. I began to see changes in my body, appetite and eating decisions. Although unaware, I later realized, I was naturally eating intuitively and gaining greater body acceptance. Concurrently, while pursuing my food interest, I proceeded to graduate with a culinary arts degree. The nutrition component of the program inspired me to learn more about nutrition and how to best "marry" it with my culinary background, graduating with a Bachelors in Human Nutrition and Dietetics as well as recognizing the importance of teaching this approach to those with diabetes and pre-diabetes.
